NOW SOLD! Biod Extase 4L Vintage 1972 Dutch Caravan
In near perfect original condition this rare lightweight caravan is much sought after to pair up with VW’s, classic cars or vans as it is so easily towable.
It has the original sink unit, two burner cooker, seats and 2 different sized tables including the net curtains. Please note that none of the appliances have been tried or tested.
3 berth with two table options. Wardrobe, overhead lockers and under seat storage.
Full awning and a day awning included.
The wheels have been recently refurbished and new tyres fitted. There is a spare wheel included.
In very good condition for its age and one for the purists as it is so original. In totally original condition – possibly only one of a handful left like this.
NOW SOLD! Piagio Ape 501 from Bridget Jones’s Having a Baby
1987 Piaggio Ape 501 – As seen in the movie Bridget Jones’s Baby in 2016. The Piaggio Ape 501 model was imported by Universal Pictures (It was originally custard yellow!) and then customised as a prop for the scene where Bridget, Mark Darcy and the Gianni the driver are careering down Piccadilly Circus to get Bridget to hospital.
The Ape was painted as Gianni’s pizza delivery three wheel scooter.
Wainhill Vintage Caravans bought the Ape in June 2023 (7 years after the release of the film) from Nottingham where it had been dry stored.
The intention was to get the Ape to the point where it was road legal and get it MOT’d. This was achieved but the vendor couldn’t then find a garage who did Class 3 MOT’s locally so it went back into the barn in September where is has been stored since.
Thousands have been spent on restoring the Ape but keeping the integrity of the vehicle as it appeared as a prop in the film. The top box which is wooden was purpose built back and totally original showing signs of it age since the production and filming of Bridget Jones’s Baby.
Accompanied with a letter of provenance and the original import documentation.
Video of the Ape previously running is available on request – currently dry stored without fuel in the tank.
Unique opportunity to own a piece of film prop memorabilia or would make a great business opportunity converting it into a Bridget Jones themed pizza business.
Royale Touranger T1475 in very original condition NOW SOLD!
This is one of our larger caravans which has undergone an extensive restoration over the past year.
New springs have been installed in the tow hitch which was completely renovated. The A frame has been strengthened to ensure easy and safe towing.
The body has been touched up with various dents and dings removed.
New tyres were fitted in May 2024 and the brakes and bearings checked then.
Inside she is as she should be with her original upholstery and curtains along with the original basin in the shower area (toilet has been removed prior to our purchase).
There is a cooker, sink and three way Electrolux fridge with trauma heater.
There is some evidence of old water ingress via the Mollycroft windows but this is historic.
Please note that all appliances are untried and untested.
Two rear doors with two sets of keys.
An awning is also included along with a replacement nearside window.
Plenty more photographs available on request. Can simply be hitched up and towed away.
Definitely one for the purists due to the originality of the caravan.

1972 Thomson Mini Glen in very original condition NOW SOLD!
This lovely small caravan was bought from Errol in Scotland and has been barn stored all her life so is dry. Light enough to be towed by a Mini or a smaller car.
She is immaculate inside with a totally original interior – probably one of the best remaining in this Thomson model. Original kitchen with gas cooker and sink (both will need recommissioning) and the front end toilet cabinet. Rear dinette style seating with the original cushions which form a double bed.
When I bought her she was thoroughly checked over and is roadworthy and towable (axle, chassis and A frame all checked and greased) along with the wheels and brake. New tyres were fitted in 2021 and have not been used on the road yet! All external lights and 7 pin plug working so can hitched up and towed away.
A small part of the headliner has come down at the seam and needs carefully tucking back into place and she will need a replacement lock part as came to me with no keys.

1976 Sprite Ariel caravan NOW SOLD!
Renovations are now complete on this great little caravan which has ensured that it is roadworthy (axle, chassis and A frame all checked and greased) along with the wheels, bearings and brakes.
Two new tyres fitted a month ago. All external lights and 7 pin plug working so can be hitched up and towed away.
This lovely caravan is light and easily manoeuvrable can be towed by most small cars.
For the purists this caravan is original inside and out – some of the cushions even still have the plastic on them from the factory! 3 berth with gas cooker and fridge and sink – untried and untested. Brand new bespoke made curtains ensures that the caravan is fresh and clean and ready to use.
This Sprite Ariel is also a bit of a rarity with the shortest of production runs so will only continue to appreciate in value.
Can be seen in South Oxfordshire (10 minutes from Junction 6 of the M40).
